About The Institution

Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc., nestled in the Diamond Creek area of Soul Clinic Community, Paynesville, Liberia, was incorporated in 2021 as a not-for-profit corporation in Montserrado County. Since our beginnings in 1996 in the Enders' home as a missionary family's educational initiative, KFI has grown into a model of educational excellence and the home of the Christian Education Leadership and School Improvement Network (CELSIN). CELSIN-KFI is a Christian school development program of Kingdom Foundation Institute, Liberia Inc. built around five service pillars for connecting K-12 Christian schools, sharing best practices, facilitating collaboration, and offering peer support.

About CELSIN-KFI

CELSIN-KFI is a Christian school development program of Kingdom Foundation Institute, Liberia Inc. It is built around five service pillars designed to connect K-12 Christian schools, share best practices, facilitate collaboration, and offer peer support across Liberia and West Africa.

Our Background

  • More than 20 years of operating a K-12 Christian school.
  • Experience in in-service training of novice teachers.
  • A history of school networking through Christian Schools Network, Inc. since 2002.
  • Registered not-for-profit status as Kingdom Foundation Institute, Inc. in 2021.
  • Previous international partnership experience in Christian worldview education.
  • Strong experience serving schools in post-conflict Liberia.

Our Journey

1996 - 1999 - The Beginning

Kingdom Foundation Institute began in the home of Jonathan and Comfort Enders as missionaries with the Great Commission Movement, serving their own three children's preschool needs.

2000 - Compliance (Liberia)

Permit from the Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia, to operate a full elementary school (June 2000)

2001 - 2003 - Move out, partner, network.

Enrollment of 81 neighborhood children. A temporary school building made with local materials. First Christian School Awareness Conference (Feb 2001): 36 in attendance, representing 11 school leaders and related organizational leaders. First weeklong Christian "Teachers Conference." August 2001. (Facilitated by John De Jager, Christian Schools International (USA) Launch of Christian Schools Network—Liberia (CSN-L). Incorporated in 2002.

2004 - 2013 Increase

KFI obtains a high school operational permit from the Ministry of Education. First batch of 7 sixth-grade graduates (2004) KFI moves into its permanent concrete one-story school building in 2008. The building was funded through Partners for Learning Across Cultures (USA). Student population up, over 200 Pioneer batch of 4 twelfth-grade graduates in 2011 (2 Enders plus 2) Christian Schools Network membership is up to 7 schools. Offering teacher/administrator continuing professional development, instructional materials support , and annual conferences. Partnership with Partners for Learning Across Cultures (USA), Calvin University (USA), and Monrovia Bible College.

2014 - 2021 Expansion

The CEO of CSN coordinates a national pilot in Jolly Phonics Teachers’ Training (2018–2020) through the Ministry of Education, Republic of Liberia. Certificate Jolly Phonics teacher training and consultancy made available to private schools by KFI, Inc.

2025 Growth & Beyond

The current alumni count of the K-12 program is 214. Training and consultancy add one site outside Montserrado County.
